Oh my god! I've got a client who wants a Drupal site and I have no idea how to design for it! HELP!

If you've said this before or may be thinking this now, rest easy. Drupal is not a scary system to design for. WordPress is just a cop-out but that's not what this session is about. We're going to cover some basic design processes and ideas to follow when designing any site then go into a short overview of how it relates to Drupal.

Here's a rough outline to ease your mind:

Deliverables

  • content strategy
  • prototypes/wireframes
  • style tiles
  • hi-fi mockups

Client Expectations

  • being adaptable within reason
  • communicate
  • use the site, don't just design it

Design Pyramid (Ryan Germick)

  • mission/soul
  • user stories
  • look & feel
  • execution
  • * (pizzazz)
